First Time Working

So after the hectic two years just to prepare for writing correctly on mentally challenging sets of papers, came the long waited holidays.
It was nice to literally have nothing to do, having enough leisure time to even just lie on my bed or spend a few minutes looking at the clouds which I haven't in a rather long while.
Awesome, but yeah naturally it gets a bit boring after a while (too short a while for me maybe) and I always wanted to try working since my parents never gave green light last time.
So one day, Tania asked for her cousin if anyone wanted to do part time for Christmas and Japanese New Year event at Liang Court, Clarke Quay, I decided to give it a try (:

Xin Hao the crazy monkey also signed up for it. It was hell lot of fun working with him haha!
Since he started earlier than me, he already knew a few people.
There was one day where he spammed text me to complain about a certain someone because the quality and QUANTITY of work done by that person is...negative. She might have been better not around.

The higher ups there are really decent people.
Tania's cousin, Kase, Vicky, Yi Ling, Lyn, were all crazy people who's fun to be with.
I think I've got pretty good luck to have met them as my first few bosses since they are the type who can even treat you as friends and joke together with.
Anyway here are some funnier stories that I can remember very clearly...

Things we did with the company trolley...
So many of the times we had to use the company trolley kept at the customer service to transport things in the mall for example, redemption gifts...Christmas trees (nude and decorared ones).
After a while..(like half a month) Xin Hao and I often get bored AND crazy for nonsense so..there was once we took turn to sit on the trolley while the other push.
Then we would push damn fast for the wind or make sudden turn in attempt to TRY and throw the person out of the trolley (no one fell of course).
Of course, we did it even in front of shoppers -.- I guess this is what YOLO means haha sorry for the bad image.

Another one was our little drama acting. During the days of moving HUGE ASS GIFT BOXES from the office storeroom on the the...hmm. M5 (just take it as fifth floor) to the storeroom on the second floor, there is a long stretch of corridor that we must pass before reaching the M5 storeroom.
So there was once I was walking quite a bit in front of Xin Hao, and he was pushing the trolley.
I heard him pushing damn fast and I turned to confirm it. Somehow, some part of me was instinctively telling me to act this way hahaha it's insane.
I ran like he is trying to knock me down with it (he probably did want to act like he is going to knock me down)
So I ran..until the end of the straight stretch where it branches into left and right I would literally JUMP TO ONE SIDE AND ROLL. Just the way you see it in movies when someone is like dodging a car. Jump and roll yo.
Then we would laugh like nobody's business.
What's worse is that we did it more than once.
What's WORST is that we did still, after knowing that there's a surveillance camera shooting right at the corner where I jump and roll and Xin Hao will run to. HAHA. What's wrong with us? That's the way we had fun man..yeah fun. Okay, fun.

Random Stuff we savaged
Goes back to the period of clearing storeroom...there were a lot of old props that weren't needed.
We were tasked to clear them out and dispose it, and in the process we found some interesting things and XIN HAO, OF COURSE, started playing with them...

Xin Hao is in it. He said he must try it before throwing it away so er..yup. You can see it's rather dirty (:

Parts of a faulty christmas tree..he was supposed to be posing as some maple character? Haha!

Now this is the hit. He was actually carrying this while I was carrying other stuff behind him.
I notice how he's skinny and was quite aligned with it while walking so I started to laugh and told him.
He and his playfulness, as expected, got him to purposely align it and take a photo.
I must say, it's perfect HAHAHA!

Just a pic of my messed up hair after half a day of travelling up and down to throw stuff.

Another weird toy we found...for lucky draw or something?

Our Gay New Year
So it's a new year. First January of 2014. Xin Hao and I worked the same shift and he asked me to drink with him after work.
I haven't drank with him before that because he did not join the post-prom party where everyone drank quite a bit.
Well if I had, I wouldn't have accepted it on this day ALONE..
Work ended and we went to 7-11 to get some drinks.
Well it's Clarke Quay and countdown to new year, so it was damn crowded there on the bridge and along the river. Xin Hao got himself a cup of maggee mee as well.
When we were walking on the bridge this really hyper angmoh came to Xin Hao and started saying something.
I can't remember what but Xin Hao was freaking out hahaha.
His wallet was on top of the cup noodles and he told me,
'that guy was like drunk eh! I was damn afraid that he will take my wallet and run!'
HAHA wild imaginations, but it's realistic enough that I can imagine after hearing him too.
Found a corner along the river that was still empty and we sat there drinking, chatting, while he eat his cup noodle.

Night view!

Xin Hao and his cup noodle. Flash blinded him haha!

He actually can't drink a lot.
That little bottle he's holding there?
It was nothing strong but he got like drunk and went crazy after that.
I was worrying about whether he can even get home by himself haha.

Well that sums up quite a bit. There are a few more interesting stories but hmm no pictures haha.

Remembrance

I guess I do have quite a bit of free time in Hong Kong. Too much maybe.
One shitty thing being here is I never had a friend in Hong Kong, so I pretty much have no social interactions.
It's not like I will die, but it sure makes life quite boring when you run out of entertainment to turn to,
such as movies, games, television programmes, etc.
As usual, I looked through photos of times in Singapore, and I also read cards given to me.
I can't really remember which card Tania wrote in, or she simply shouted it in my face (?!)
She told me to update my blog so she can read lol.
I can understand what she mean now since I myself look forward to a new post from here because it means
more stories to read.
So..although it's been a really long time since that happening night..

Prom Night 2013
After a really draggy cycle of mugging, sleeping, wake up and mug again, A's ended and prom night approaches. I still remember how I didn't really want to go because there wasn't a good response from the class initially. Furthermore, Jo Ann (even after much convincing) didn't want to go x.x EVEN AFTER SPONSORSHIP MAN haha. Anyway, decided to go after some convincing from Tania and seeing that a bigger portion of the class is going. Managed to convince Jo Ann to come for the post-prom party we have on our own as a class.

In the day, I went to dye my hair. Jo Ann, even though she's not going, kept saying, 'YOLO' and tell me how it'll be fun bla bla bla. Well I did want to see how I look like in brown hair long ago but...I wouldn't have dared to if not for her constant 'encouragement'. Well my parents knew nothing until they saw my prom photos. Oh well too late..! Haha. Not like they objected though (not after I already did it) but I subtly talk about dying it again and my mum said, 'Don't la you know it harms your hair..!!!' True, but I know you simply don't want me to dye because you don't like. Of course, I myself wasn't intended to dye some very bright color like gold or what not. I actually chose a brown that wasn't too light in colour. Those type that can see a bit in the dark and more obvious in the sunlight.
Here's a photo of my virgin black hair being dyed brown.

There was something I forgot. When you first dye your hair, the color will be quite a bit brighter than what you wanted. After you washed your hair for some time..it'll fade to your desired hair color. So..what happened is...

A very extreme orange brown? It's more orange than this photo!

Really damn shocked at the salon after the person washed off the dye. It wasn't the color that I wanted at all!
It's not like I can't do with it but..yeah. Just shocked.

Went to JoAnn's place to slack with her for the noon before meeting up with Tania because I was supposed
I was gonna cab from Tampines, and she needed a ride. Jo Ann started playing with the foundations she had apply it on my face, complaining about how my skin is bad, this and that. Oh well. She had a share of fun.
Looking at this picture I thought I really should have adjusted my tie before taking the photo. Credit to Melissa (:

We reached the place after a bit of chatting and went up to the room Cindy's mum kindly booked for our post-prom party. The rest of the girls were inside dolling up haha. The more 'memorable ones' are Cindy being a noob and requested help from Mel who er...I guess we don't trust with detailed work because she's usually so blur :P Tania went to help out a bit in a while before Mel ruins Cindy's face :]

Don't ask me, I don't know why the picture is blurred as well. Nicolas and Ziyi here got the kiddy pose haha

So we have our dinner. Sat with Tania, Hannah, Cindy, Melissa, and a mix of another class including GJ, while the rest of the class sat at one table. It was quite cold there, and noisy of course. The food was quite nice.
Mel and Emily got the lucky letter to go up on the stage but turns out they're not the lucky ones out of all the er..lucky ones. Okay.

After the whole dinner..everyone was partying. They played music in front and everyone went in to like dance. We also did mass dance one last time haha. Jo Ann came in around this time and mix in into the crowd haha. Well prom technically is over already anyway (:

More photos with le pretty and handsome ones.

So after prom..is post prom! Party doesn't end here!
All of us went back into the room and we started our party with..helium gas.
Aqilah and Hui Ting brought up balloons, and Si Yuan actually went to suck up the helium gas to try out the change in voice. That was damn funny haha!
After that started the most crazy part..we bought alcohols, so we started mixing for cocktails and started playing games where losers have to drink.
I've always thought there's a flaw to this game. For people who wants to drink, winning is losing, losing is winning, because losers 'get to drink'. Lol Cindy I'm talking about you, don't be shy. Haha.
Cindy practically went insane after a few cups..and started using the Carl's Jr ginormous cup to drink.
She smashed into beds and chairs...and started feeling unwell in the toilet afterwards.
Then came puking haha. What a reckless drinker.
In contrast Melissa who actually drank quite a bit while no one was really looking (lol) isn't the least bit drunk because she drank slowly and kept drinking water in between (noticed by Jo Ann) SKILLS.
Hmm. Kudos to Cindy for the entertainment though haha although she told me in the face before we started, 'I WON'T GET DRUNK NOOB JUSTIN'
Says who. Haha!
Slept really late..and woke up damn early. Sort of like had an hour's sleep only. Insanity.
Went out for breakfast at Mac's..I didn't know Tania was supposed to join us so..the group just left her to sleep with Cindy (She got a bit drunk afterwards too but don't worry, they did nothing :P )

That marks the end of the fun and wild night..! Thanks for all the memories (:

No Escape

Sometimes no matter how hard you try to prevent something from happening again it happens.
It's rather depressing.
It makes you wonder why you invested so much essence of your life into it.
Then again,
no amount of effort will guarantee a fruit of labour.
No effort though, will guarantee no fruit of labour.

So I can't give up. There is no intention to. Can only keep trying until it succeeds.

Mix and Match 3!

Hi readers (:
Finally here's a third Mix and Match post!
Lets go (:

Yo my doggies!
So many of you should have known by now, (or else we obviously haven't talked in a long while. That's GREAT) that I moved to Bedok.
And with the shift...came two dogs!!
Finally some animals in the house besides the tortoise which hides all the time when someone walk pass -.-
All I could do at the very best is...touch its hard shell. WHAT?!
WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT...LIKE IT CAN FEEL ANYTHING LIKE THAT.
ANYWAY...presenting to you the two new members!

Our dear Snowy!

And Sandy!!

Snowy is super noisy and active..always running around in the house and before bringing her down for a walk-and-poop session. She loves to scratch herself and her feet always hit the floor without fail...so it makes a lot of 'pak pak pak pak' sound that lasts for about...2-3 minutes depending on how itchy she is I guess. SHE HAS SMELLY BREATH AND WORSE STILL SHE LIKES TO STICK HER FACE CLOSE TO YOU. Definitely need to brush her teeth frequently =P

Sandy on the other hand is much more quiet..except to me maybe. In the entire household I'm the one and only....that gets barked at by Sandy whenever I come home. No, it's not a new smell. He just have to SEE that it's me and he'll walk first..then pick up the speed to come bark at me -.- The method to silence him is..to reach out with my hand and touch his head. Upon contact he'll shut up and once I start rubbing his head he'll quickly lie down in the position for a tummy rub. SERIOUSLY WHAT DO YOU WANT...he definitely isn't barking out of joy because he'll chase after me and bite my shirt if I heck about him and walk further INTO the house. It's almost like I'm a stranger trying to barge my way through him so he has to attack me. LOL.

One occasion where Snowy lost Sandy (on the other side of the wall) so she climbed up to get a better view)

One random night she come into my room to play!

Check out my long body ladies....*snore*

Anyway both are damn fun to play with haha they are cute.

NLB MOMENTS'
Everyone goes somewhere to study right...
Okay maybe not everyone but many people.
Through the last stretch of the year I spent most of the time in the National Library at Bugis, only sleeping at home haha.
\
Focused on reading..

NOT ME...although the shirt is mine.
I swear from the previous photo you can't see that it is her right haha!

We spent a  few days bringing food from your home and eat right outside NLB like hobos..
Evidence: Photo of different attire at the same location.

 See? HAHA.

Just glad that sometimes you come down all the way to study here so that it won't be so boring for me (and for you sometimes) thank you..!! (;

Oh other places include..
TP. The environment is really nothing like a JC -.-

SLV (back to that familiar home!)
Some time this year my classmates organized a trip back to help out at the home we went to during SLV.
Of course, I remember most of them there..and a closer few who would always run to me (:
It was nice going back down to see them..it feels good to see them so happy seeing us too!
We played games with them..chatted and WOW they are taking care of hamsters!

Damn cute..it doesn't bite me too (:

Moment of doubt

Sometimes I'm not sure what is supposed to be right and what is supposed to be wrong.
Is it too much to ask for or did I let myself get taken advantage of?
Seems to be losing the balance every now and then.

Don't feel like doing anything. Luckily there's nothing to do either.

Ideals

Chasing after an ideal can be really tiring.
Having dreamed of a future deemed to be realistic, expectations tag along and become part of life,
however things will not always turn out to be the way you want it to.
Your ideal isn't the ideal of the many other people you'll meet in your life no matter who it is.
They clash, and sometimes it favors you, sometimes it may not.
That's one fine lesson to be learned.
I've given up many things in my past years, but in this two-year journey I've given up some which are
really significant and the experience was suffocating.
Changes that follow the abandoning of the previous goal comes along together with my other tiny waves and hit against the shore at once.
This is probably a test harder than any other written papers.
They are the real examinations in life, nothing like studying from textbooks and notes, and apply them to questions printed on papers.
To challenges faced thus far, my answer to the examination is:

Think of the better so you will  remember to not be complacent.
Think of the worse so you will remember to count your blessings.

Interact Camp Last day at Sentosa

Yes so it's been like, ages since I last posted something?
CT 2 was insane..and results were..okay lets not talk about it.
Was looking through photos (as usual, I look through my photos a lot)
And I got reminded of this day..

22/03/2013-Interact Camp at Sentosa
So back in March..(yes 4 months ago I know..)
Every CCA has their March camp. Same goes for CO and Interact.
So..of course I participated in CO's camp as priority but I heard that help is appreciated if there's any other days we can make it..
So..decided to help out in Interact camp on the last day as a Station Master (:
It was kind of tiring honestly..the CO camp lasting for a few days and not to forget, CO had their own Amazing Race. And every year it's tiring..this year less because the area is limited to the East.
ANYWAY as the title mentioned the last day was held at Sentosa.
Jo Ann and I were assigned to a game station by the coast in a erm..little 'forest'
Actually it's just an empty space with lots of trees haha!
So we were supposed to hide these papers that they have to find in this mini forest area..
Well I must say the forested area is a really good place, complemented with our evilness haha!
For example..one of the paper was folded and slotted into a tree bark. I then covered the bark with dried leaves.
Seriously who would have found it haha!
And then there's one stuck at the bottom of the dustbin..
And one more that I find it a fun place to hide even though it's easy to find: under a rock.
Haha! Quite fun seeing them looking around..but to be honest even we ourselves forgot where they are.
We don't have to rmb anyway =P
After a few rounds we lost the fun in it haha got really bored with trying to hide them..
So hanged in there under the hot sun with nothing but the sea, vegetation, and mosquitoes zzz
Damn itchy. Got bitten so many times.
Then there was this group that experienced a time lag..
Don't know what happened. But it took a long while for the group to reach, like 20 mins or so?
So we sat down and take a break..chat and wait for them..
Every minute that passes, Jo Ann would shout, 'late!!!'
The hot sun must have driven her insane =D
Anyway..

Yeah the coast..WHILE WAITING..

Tried hard to smile under the bright sun..

WHERE ARE THEY...at least there's strong wind (inferred from flying hair)

After some time they came and we ended the last group of er..players. Haha!
Ended the day with gathering and like mass dance at the beach..haha quite fun!
There were peacocks walking around so everyone got excited (about the peacocks) LOL.
So many of us wanted to go over and take a picture.
Before the mass dance during the gathering..

Buried these two with sand..decided to pose?

Human pyramid haha.

Bored and drew this. She was fascinated lol.

Was really tired..but I guess I don't regret helping out.
It's still fun and memorable =D
